To John and Duck and the others
Who is shouting, all I did was write in CAPs as it seems that smalls is difficult to understand??????? I posted a very simple reply in general and morph took it personal this is a fact that generaly a lot of geuss work an assumption is done on forums by the armchair pilots and this can be very missleading to the new pilots, if you want to make a statment back it up with the part No. and paragraph of the CAR's. or any written matrial from the experts qoute the books name and writer.
AS far as the stress comment I live in the slowveld and theres no rush in Africa man. Let me share with you all I once saw a banner in a very reputable old flying school in the UK it said "Wanabe and Armchair pilots that think they know it all are just a pain in the butt to those pilots who do know it all."
AS far as been rude and this not being AVCom thanks for the reminder!
AS far as the coment to go fly and destress I fly every day weather permitting how about you once a week, once a month, once a year?????

I didn't take it personal, I said if you know better then tell the rest of us. We all need to learn.
BTW I fly about 100 hours a year so I am definately not in the ARMCHAIR arena but I don't want to get into a "mine is bigger than yours" debate.
Now back to the real issue, tell us exactly what the real situation is wrt converting from an MPL 3-axis to a PPL including the medical issues which is what this topic is about.

Guessing and assuptions can be very dangerous in flying

Chill out
Microlighting is the bigest growing aviation sport world wide, Microlights number more that one third of all aircraft registered in SA. The mess comes form guess work and assumptions of the self proclaimed astronauts of Microlighting.

Brian, if I have read (heard) right, you have some 10 000 hours comprising 5 500 in microlights with the balance split between Gyro’s and 3-Axis.
Man – that’s experience.

There is huge value that you can add on this forum.

Another is Johnyvdl (???) – also has about 10 000 hours – but he only “pops-in occasionallyâ€Â.

The term “The mess comes from ….†is misleading. Many amateur low hour pilots want to express themselves freely without being criticized. This is where a person like yourself can confirm, correct, modify questions, add tips and tricks, motivate hazards and pitfalls etc.
Wish that we also heard from Johnyvdl (???) more often.

So Stirrer – come and teach – members will sit up and take notice when you “speakâ€Â.

Kind regards
John ZU-CIB

Not all are exposed to interactive A grade instructors, some of which who also don't know all the fundamentals and happily refer you to the CAA.
In the absence of info on the representative body's web page, here is where we ask stupid questions and get mostly variations of the correct answer, all pointing to the correct general direction.
I'd rather interact with willing armchair and newbe pilots than smug arrogant highmilers who don't willingly offer assistance but have the time to criticise.
I'm not referring to anyone who has posted here either.
