5 Augusts 2007

Was almost in Aurora today. At one stage I was wondering whether my epitaph would read Moeggeklap. Please see the log on http://www.zu-dve.com and tell me what you think.

Not at all, have a look at the graphs from my GPS. There are three windsocks at Morningstar. The most southerly showed a "stiff" westerly, the middle one, a proud northwesterly, and the most northerly was as flacid as a 80 year old. So I erected to go for the far side of runway 02. You can see I am crabbing a bit into the westerly (west being the bottom of the graph), at 80km/h, and aimed to put the trike on the gravel, rather than the asphalt. As it happend, my touch down point was just at that friggin bush, I got a bit distracted and dropped it (the yellow line) right on the Acacia saligna.
