Generally direct drives VW's are used for high speed and RD VW's for the slower birds that require better climb performance (longer prop's). Prop's for direct drives generally have a 52" length with pitch ranging from 32-36" for the 1600-1800L, 37-45" for the 2-2.1L and 46-51" for the turbo VW fitted to some KR2's. RPM range for a direct drive VW ranges from 2900 - 3500.
