What happened to RudiX...?

Postby Smiley » Wed Aug 08, 2007 4:03 pm

Hello guys

I flew Saturday morning from Springs to Heidelberg. On my arrival there I spotted the Rans on the threshold of runway 29.

On my final approach I saw his left back wheel was GONE.....!

Was this a puncture or did you loose your wheel on landing....?

Fortunately, the aircraft looked Ok??

Hi Smiley,

Yes, that was me  I was on my way out to leave with the Microland bunch when I had a flat. With the help of some of the locals I removed the wheel, took it to Hi-Q and it was fixed in no time ! It had a 1mm puncture.

BTW, I did have "Tyre fix" and tried that but the hole was to large.

Now I am better prepared, the right tools, "patch and solution" and a spare tube flies along

Fly safe,
Rudi.
