Paintwork for Kitplanes ?
The plasticizer does not "leach" out of the paint. Who started this bullshit? Only if you did not add enough of the stuff in the first place, will your paint start to crack. Some of the aeries that I have done is now aproaching more than 10 years, and still the plastisizer has not "leached" out. I have seen a lot of fabric planes having been sprayed by "panel beater" spraypainter "experts", and in general the results were dismal. Prperly covering and spraying fabric aeroplanes is a bit of a "black art" that can only be mastered after many years of practise. So be very carefull of who you let loose on your pride and joy.
:D

The main reason I prefer the 2K route is COST. And labour. You can get away with a lot less material when spraying Polu-U. Same is also a lot more glossy than Pigmented butyrate dope. Pigmented butyrate can also be shiny, BUT entails LOTS of elbow grease. When spraying Butyrate, you will need at least 5 - 6 coats. With Poly-U only 2. Belief me. :D
