If i fly with mineral oil at the moment ( Castrol super outboard plus) and I want to change to a synthetic oil like say BP VISTRA, how would i do it?
I know that you cannot mix the two, but is it possible to swop around?

Go and sit in the corner until the feeling goes away.

Wars have been started over oil - ask anyone in Iraq
If you live anywhere near the coast - do not use synthetic oil. Synthetic oil is able to absorb moisture - think the technical term is hygroscopic or hydroscopic.
When engine shut down - that moisture containing oil is hugging the parts you are trying to protect.

Bacchus, I moved from synthetic to mineral for the same reasons as mentioned by the previous posts, coastal, better protection, synthetic draws moisture etc. Castrol Outboard super plus for 582 and castrol chainsaw on 503's (aircooled) for they run hotter than the watercooled 582's.
