Prop Problem 582 Aquila

I have a 3 blade warp drive on my 582 aquilla. I am new at the sport so forgive my ignorance. I have had the kite AP done and have just recieved my Flight Authority. I have yet to fly the kite my self although i have taken it to full revs a few times on the slab. There is a small hair line crack on the sheath that covers the end of the prop that goes into the warp drive. This crack seems to be old. My instructor has told me that i need a new Prop (R 7000). He, has a second hand wooden prop for (R4000) The school plane has the exact same crack as my plane. I have also been told that there is a vibration on the prop.
Problem 1: are the props so expensive and if so can they not be refurbished.
Problem 2: if there was a vibration, would it not start when testing on the slab or does the kite have to be in the air.
The instuctor is exellent, but i feel i am being ripped a bit due to my lack of knowledge. please help.
