Thanks for the pics - makes it a lot easier for me. This weekend, I'll siphon in style.

Whilst we're on ideas, what air pump would you guys suggest for inflating the wheels? Something small that I can maybe leave in the aerie for emergency purposes.

Builders Wharehouse, game , Dions or if you are in the South Adendorf Auctioneers have cheap compressors. Just connect to battery and pump. Don't take up much room I even have one in the toolbag on my quad.
You can get a plastic one from about R75 or really decent ones for R350.

Thanx for the advice - will check it out. I think that this along with a spare bottle of two-stroke oil should always be kept close at hand.

It has the little ballvalve at the end.NO electrics or beck full of fuel

Hi everyone,

Thanx for all the advice. Armed myself with all of these devices (purchased from Game) and left early on Saturday to get the Mizer ready for the Springs Breakfast fly in. Put Tyreweld in the one wheel, O.K - when putting it in the other one (by now completely flat), I discovered in dismay that the valve was torn off right where it connects to the tube.

Philip was giving training at Rhino, so no tools available. Drove back 50 kms to Valhalla to fetch my tools, took the rim apart and fitted another tube. Was already afternoon before I could fly again.

But, now I am armed with a electrical air pump, a hand airpump, some more Tyre Weld and one of those syphoner goodies as in the previous pics. Thank you again for all of your feedback.

Tyreweld is neccessary

I got to the airfield Sat morning ready to take to the skies and what do you know - A flat back left tyre on Precious. The wire-lock I cut off when servicing the plane last weekend and left on the hanger floor..... So leer mens....

Who would have thought wire-lock can puncture Michillan tyres? Had the okes at the airfield purturbed - Trust me, It happens!

Anyhow, quick drive to Brits spare-shop and tyreweld to the rescue. Was airborne an hour and a half later, too late to make Springs fly-inn though
