Looking for a builder for a VANS RV kit

Postby bosbok » Sat Jun 23, 2007 4:00 pm

I am cosidering the purchase of a VANS RV kit,but do not want to build it myself. Would anyone be interested in building it or do you know of someone (except Robin Coss Aviation) whom I could approach to build such a kit?

There a re a couple of builders. Rudi on here or Jan on Avcom. Maybe try the guys at Petit. They did mention they would help me with one, but it will obviously cost. Andre Labuschane (sp?) in Rustenburg is also an option, but price is similar to RC it CT. Also a crowd advertising in the aviation mags based in Wellington or somehwere in cape quoting $100K for a RV7.

PS
I am also dead keen to build one, but I need some help. Pitty there is not a "class" or builder assist type prg in SA :?

Grant Beatty does an excellent job. He is not a member here or on Avcom but does belong to EAA. Contact Dave Grosvner if you need his contact details.

Thanks RV4ker!Shucks that build price makes me wonder whether a used RV would not be a better idea, plus it cuts out some of the delay in getting airborne!!Which RV would you fancy building?I would either look at a RV9a
(more suitable to my requirements )or aRV8a .
Hi Wart, thanks for the info.It is much appreciated!!
