Rotax 582 RPM

Cruise one up is 4500 two up 4800. Can't say accurately for fuel yet as with the increased vooma I was gunning it and flying like a F16...still after 2 hours at Avg GS of 66mph (my cruise is 55). Fuel used was 23l used. She doesn't go over 6 in normal flight or climb, but with bar in at 90+ goes past.
Fuel appears to be more by about 0.5l.
One noticable diff was glide vs deadstick was more similar. Engine "idles" higher during flight now.

My take off is around 6000 up from 5500 (Manual said 5600 with my wing), I used to get around 600fpm two up and around 700+ one up. Now it's a hang of alot better around 900 one up, with two up at 700+.Henni wrote:Hi DieselFan,

Hi all,
While on the subject of the 582, hoping for some help from the pros. I have an Aquilla 582 with a warp drive. Just had the AP and flight authority done which i passed.I have also recieved my flight authority. My AP tells me that my prop is worn and that i will need a new one Quote R7000. He has a new woden prop for me R4000. I am about to go solo and want to move to my kite. When i did a pre flight, i found a small hair line crack on the thin mettal sheeth that goes arround the prop before it enters the warp drive. Incidently, the school kite has the same crack on its prop. I realy like my instructor but cant help feeling that im been ripped.
