Well, what a disappointing result! The Sharks just couldn't hang onto their lead and hats off to the Bulls for pulling off the victory. At least a South Africa team took the cup this year!

Still in Dubai and will be heading back tomorrow.

Muscat, Oman - a socking 40 deg Cel  suppose to leave tomorrow night back to SA until we got the next surprise - Tropical Cyclone Gonu moving up the cost of Oman and is expected to "hit" Muscat, where we staying, at mid-night  winds up 125kts

The clouds in the pic below was taken this afternoon at 12:00, apparently the first sight of clouds in a couple of years - the other at our hotel with some "darkness" approaching

Yip was talking about last pic. Looks like some severe wind speeds, what is the side wind limit when cars begin to topple and buildings suffer?

Please do post pics and be careful :!:

Hi DF not to sure when cars flip over, some pics of instant waterfalls down the mountains. The wind is starting to pickup, guess around 80mph. We 35 km from the airport and roads on the way have been flooded. All businesses has been closed until Saturday - should have left to night, seems we stuck until Saturday

Haven't put a foot out of the hotel today. Flight cancelled, looks like we will be able to leave tomorrow night :D

DF, the pic above is of the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque the biggest in the region. Work began on the construction between Muscat and Seeb Airport early in 1995. It was completed six years later and inaugurated by the Sultan.

I'm always worried about winds up to 15-20kts, no flying  today it averaged 90kts gusting 120kts   Rain was not to be bad although we stay about 5km inland. Apparently the coast does not look to good and many roads are flooded on the way to the airport.

Below is Muscat, stranded and locked-up to the top-rght of the pic

I recieved some pics from home and gee the wx did not look good in pretoria either

Wow cobra, some extreme winds! Must be kak flying a trike in that weather you take off flying south and land in europe. Seriously tho the town looks so out of place almost photoshopped when compared to the arrid surroundings.

I love checking out the pics on this thread, yourself and Wart have been to very interesting places! Hope you get your flight back before weekend, Kyk is missing you.
