Its like the Morph ses... my prev experience in Trike has been 6k going out and 6k comin home. if its easterly forget it.

Have 'cleared the tops' either way in the B/Baby in perf weather, but theres not a lotta places to go, the ranges generally tends to be fairly sharply defined with good glide path down into valleys either side.
Go to 6 and stay there i reckon

Didn't hear any microlights in the air, probably the wind (10 knots on the ground, some turbulance). But had a good time nevertheless.

Gert I love your logs! Apart from the fact that they are making me EXTREMELY jealous!

What GPS are you using?

I am using a GPS III Plus and use MapSource Software. Will buy something smarter in future, but for now don't see the need.

Gert, I am using the same software, with a Garmin GPS-Map76 that I bought through African Stuff.

In time I would consider something more advanced but am not too sure how sunlight-readable some of the colour screens are.

As DH says, we enjoy your flight logs :D

Did 7 landings, 6 at FAWV (westerly at 10 again) and one at Altona. Abandoned the one at Morningstar. Those trees! Like a washing machine.

Climbed in a series of 8 circles from 3000 to 8000 feet north of Wellington. Now need someone to lead me over those mountains.

Took some great pics today. Will post it if requested. Could see over mountains to Worchester. So there is a country over those mountains after all!

Give me the exact coordinates. Was in the vacinity the other day, and saw the one field, with all those power lines to the south - that it? Will do some flying this weekend and Monday afternoon.

Another windy day. At FAWF a south easter 10 knots on ground, but at Darling a westerly - coming over those koppies and since I could not climb, had to turn around or spray the dear darlings with my lunch. I guess these clouds are not the "fairweather clouds" described in the book.
