Starting /fuel problems

Postby Nkwazi » Thu May 24, 2007 3:10 pm

I decide to brave the cold and go flying this morning, however, I was dissappointed when I failed to get the rotax started. At first I thought it was just the cold, but after a while of no cooperation I noticed that fuel was being pumped out of the little valve on the fuel pump. What has caused this and what do I need to do to rectify the problem? Any suggestions, please.

First time AZU has done that

Was telling someone the other day that I should never have sold that plane, never gave me a day's trouble and started first time in -2 Degrees

Petrol pumping out of fuel pump?

LEt Kasparson sort it out for you - I am sure Duck will know what is wrong though

BTW - Jet needle and needle jet + main jet need to be replaced from time to time - Let Kasparson do this for you too- I reckon it is time and won't cost much +-R250

Firstly, the Rotax engines, especially the 503 were designed for snow mobiles so the cold is not an issue.

Are you talking about the tiny little breather hole in the centre of the fuel pump? Could be that the diaphram has perforated?

Ja, it looks like a little breather hole or valve in the centre of the pump
