this site is where people around the world have connected their own personnal weather stations on line

scroll down the page to view individual stations, click on the station and see wind, direction etc history

(2) SITE 2
This site may be more of use to the guys on the coast (it is the US navy website for use by their fleet) but the cool feature is if you run the loop option (on the right side of the page) you can track fronts rain etc. it may take a few seconds to load.

In addition to winds, you can track rain, wave hights etc

OK its for the whole of Africa but RSA is clear

I also use www.weathersa.co.za. Not the best and sometimes wrong, but not too bad. You need to see the USA TV sites and newspapers to see how wrong they can get weather reports.

you can view per province as well as whole RSA
also has most majorish airfields on the map to make life simpler.....

IR as well as Visible images as well.
