Sycamore over Cape Town - what a weekend !!!
FAWgie - JetRanger and I are planning an adventure for later on this year. A kinda African coast trip (better tell JR about it - hey?). CLU-less, thanks for the compliment - I agree, we do have great machines. Maybe some of you guys will join us - Cape Town to JHB via coast then inland somewhere on the Natal North Coast. We will be stopping off in your part of the world (slummies)- maybe you join us from there?

Eagle1 and JetRanger, I am sorry I missed you guys on Sat morning at Morning Star. I actually was supposed to come through and meet GR8-dad who was flying in from Nooitgedacht. Unfortunately I woke up with stomach flu and that put me out of action completely.
However GR8-dad phone me from Nooitgedacht as he was leaving so I dragged myself out of bed to get to the airfield (I had commited to get some fuel there for him) As I was filling the tanks up he phoned to say he is back on the ground because he was experiencing 53mph tailwinds at 5000ft (he needs that altitide to clear the mountains over Piekenierskloof) and was experiencing extreme rotor turbulance.
He tried again half an hour later with the same result.
Subsequently I quietly went back home and to bed.

Hey Morph - real pity to have missed you, I would have liked to meet you face to face - but I am sure Jetranger will be there again soon. He is really “jags†about flying his gyro and subsequently fly’s all the time (the lucky bugger). Give him an invite to the next fly-away, he will definitely make a plan if it allows him to fly and talk planes. How your Bushbaby project going?
