Howick Airfield is available to hangar
The Howick Flying Club is signing a 5 year lease for the ongoing use of Howick Airfield, with an option for a further 5 years. We would welcome any microlighters who have been displaced from either Ballito or Cato fields to come and use us as a base. Costs are very reasonable. Whilst we are somewhat short of rentable hangar space, we would particularly welcome anyone who is a hangar owner and who wants to re-erect their own hanger at Howick, or who wants to build a new hangar. We have 3 grass runways, the longest of which is 1.2km. We also have some of the finest flying countr y in the world. If anyone is interested, please contact Brian Jeffrey on 082 379-2815 or Boet Naude on 084 491-1222 or post an answer on this thread

Hi Jaco.
I was there on Saturday morning, and the question was asked.
The answer was that there is no change to the status-quo. ie No hangars may be built.
Annie and I were made to feel most unwelcome, and only when we removed our trike was anyone civil to us again. Most strange.
Maybe some-one at Howick would like to PM me and take responsibility for the rumours...........
Regards
