At last!
Finally, after having my arse stuck on terra firma for the last 5 months, I got it into the air today IN MY OWN PLANE!
Most you guys know why I haven't been flying my plane and after fitting my new, PRE-OWNED engine I have been waiting for some decent WX for the last 3 weeks to do a proving flight.
Did some 45 minutes this afternoon with 3 touch-'n-go's and some climbing turns, decending turns, stalls and generally flying in circles.
Was very rusty on the stick to start off with and couldn't figure out why I had to fight the plane to keep it straight and level, until my "safety pilot" told me to relax, take the tension out my feet on the pedals and let the plane settle by itself. Then things went better. Greased my landings though :D
Got a few small snags to attend to before I'll be entirely happy.

Voorwiel, agterwiel, driewiel, vierwiel.......solank hy kan vlieg! Gebruik in elk geval net die klein wielietjie (voor of agter) vir 'n kort rukkie oppie grond

What is the empty weight, stall, cruise?
Does it have flaps?
Is the frame wood or steel?
It is supposed to weigh in at 260 kg`s, and its made of wood. There is no flaps, although I understand that someone did modify the wing to take flaps but it wasnt sucsessfull, or useless as the stall (one up) is just over 30 mph indicated.

Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly. Leave the rest to God.
