DH...from the last pic it seems you had a repair/renovation done of new cement/concrete over old cement/concrete?

Dingbat didn't use the correct procedure and materials You cannot fix new cement over old cement and expect it to stick or last long. It will always crack/flake off unless the correct procedure with the correct materials are used. Special process. Not for your average Mr Wannabe-pool-repair-man.

Also the coating inside. Did you have it re-coated or re-plastered? Either way, the incorrect preparation was done (if any at all)

For the ants - try MAXFORCE ANT GRANULES. No I don't make it, and I have no shares in the company. Been recommended to me by a pest control guy.

It is a bit on the expensive side - like a reputable contractor , Rotax, synthetic oil,..............., BUT it works. It is not a contact poison, therefore not 3 zillion dead ants to deal with every day. The ants carry it in their nest and feed the stuff to the queen, and poef , no more eggs. The nest is extinct, and that is the way to deal with it.

Blue death and all of the other stuff works, but, ants breed faster than you can kill them - heard that before - - but it is like wiping the oil off the engine after every landing. Fix the leak, i.e. fix (destroy) the cause of the irritation.

Try it, it worked for me. Lost 3 inches in .......... sh!t got carried away, must be the morning TV.
