Things are looking up and well as we should recieve the amount of stands allowed on the developement.

Well I have decided that I will start planning my retirement and maybe settle on the estate as well.

I hope that it does not chase any cuzzies away.

The hangers are in the process of being designed with the latest tiltup doors.

FYI copied from previous post by The Agent - I guess this thread is an update?

Posted: Tue Feb 13, 2007 8:09 pm Post subject: New Aviation Estate (Cape Town)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am writing this on behalf of the developers of the proposed aviation estate. The estate will be a max of 50 km out side of Cape Town. It is on a farm with from what I am told some of the most beautiful scenery. SACAA has approved the site, but now the QUESTION is how many stands are going to be allowed in this project.
The runway direction will be north and south which are the prevailing winds and 1.7 km long and tarred. So it appears they will even be able to house a few jets as well as the smaller stuff down to microlights.
The idea is for you to build a house either with a hanger next to you or have your hanger on the other side of the runway.
Now I know that hangerage is a problem all over the country so surely some of the locals would look at building only hangers on the new proposed estate.
I need to know from the flyers in the other parts of the country how many of YOU will look at building a holiday home and hanger on the estate.
This will determine the density allowed on the proposed estate.
Just a hint it is in the Malmesbury direction. More than seven bar has been allready put into the project so it will happen the question is just in what format.
Sounds like a major party could be held there with a Fly-Inn.
I am not going to set up apoll but will read each posting carefully.
Thanks
