Butterfly feeling

Dont know about you lot but sometimes when I look at pics taken out of an aircraft it gives me the creeps and I think "damm that`s high" but when Im in the plane it no problem as a matter of fact the more adrenelin the better :D :D Ill basically try just about anything for a thrill

I get it the other way round. Photos are OK, the real height sometimes scares me, yet I still like flying. We are strange creatures!

Pictures, real thing, so long as its above the ground it gets me going...

If I haven’t been up for a while, have this uncontrollable response of "WHOOOO HOOO" that seems to come out my mouth for some reason at about 500agl

Nothing wrong with that feeling but a pic does not allways tell you every thing only what the lense captures so there must be more.
When I looked at the pic that Demon took in the berg and please mate explain to us, my first thought was bliksem but that is high and so many clouds. My thoughts then is I will not venture there as I am a moerse bang gat to be around clouds and espessialy on top of them.
secondly as fond as I am of taking photo's because of the right hand holding the joystick it's rather difficult taking photo's with the left but that is something I must master.

I am not so happy standing on the house roof or working on very high ladders but once that wing starts flying my wife says all she hears in the comms is "Climb baby Climb".

It's amazing that I get "jelly-legs" and complete butterflies if I stand on the edge of a 5-storey building or look down a stair-well, yet I can fly 2000 ft above the ground and look down with nothing but a tube of aluminium between me and mother earth! Awesome stuff.

Im not so sure what it is called but a colleague of mine recons it is an official syndrome I call it FUN
whenever Im on a ledge or top of a building it feels like I HAVE to jump I get this itching under my feet and total brain failure, to the point where you have to walk away or risk doing something stupit just because

I have the same problem, my wife was laughing at me after I climbed on our roof. When I got down I was shaking like a leaf. No problem though when I get in the trike. I am grinning even before the prop has turned.

There's no reference point in a plane vs edge of roof. I think MOST ppl get hibbies on the edge of a building etc yet feel fine in a plane ESP a trike .

AM Sh!t scared of heights. Have done the bungi jumping, sky diving etc. Worked in Carlton Centre for 4 years and could not walk near the windows. Not comfortable in trike if there are no fairings esp when it a bit windy. Have fear of falling out....

Im the same, used to have to do abseiling for Rescue work,
Off a builing my legs would shake like anything - yet going off a mountain side I was fine

I am sh!t scared of heights as well and will not venture near the edge of a building. I did abseiling once and they had to pry my hands loose from the rope afterwards. The same thing happened when we did a company team building and I had to cross between trees on cables. I had a safety belt on but man I held on for dear life until eventually my hands just could not grip anymore. I crapped myself and will not do it again.

But put me in a plane and the higher the better. In fact whenever I hit turbulance I climb. I regularly fly at 8500agl quite happily with no butterfly effects or fear Go figure

I now find...over 2000ft agl it's gets rather - quiet and the hibbies hit me and I grab the bar a tad harder, odd cause in bumps I don't.
