Politics

Postby Fairy Flycatcher » Sun Mar 18, 2007 12:34 pm

Read this recently: Non-flying but brilliant
I wanted to know the true meaning of politics, so I decided to look it up in the dictionary. It comes from two words: 'poli' meaning 'many' and 'tics', meaning 'bloodsuckers'
:D

Thanks Wart. Don't know for sure yet... am busy with my ATP subjects at the moment, and will try to get work flying offices, so that I can afford to fly real aeroplanes, like my trike 8)

David will probably go work for Dawie at Kroon airfield, near Hartebeespoortdam... we will see.

What are your plans? GA in Natal seems to be a bit screwed at the moment. Can't believe we are loosing the two biggest airfields in Natal, more or less at the same time!

As I said... many bloodsuckers

That's great - Why not Aviators Paradise? I know you guys made a big impression on Dale?

Anyhow, would be great to have you guys up here no matter what field you operate from.

Hi Big D.

Yeah, we like Aviators a lot as well.

Like FF says, Kroon is where we will most probably end up.......

But anything can happen

We are closing down fast and furious. 3 hangars down, and another 2 starting on Wednesday........

We hope to have everything sold, and be off-site by end May at the very latest.

Will then move our aircraft up - FF and I would like to fly them up 2 at a time (we have 4 trikes plus the dragonfly). Will have to draw matches to see who flies the Dragonfly up.

Will then purchase a 12volt thermic underwear suit and start flying those lekka winter mornings hey :)

Bloody hell, just warning those Kroon students, you guys betta take off work and come fly between 10am and 2pm, as I am not going to do the running nose freezing butt early morning stuff. Really, s'tru, betta believe me............

Later,
David Daniel

Yup, I agree, winter flying between 10am and 2pm is great

But then, hey, nothing beats an early morning summer or later evening post thunderstorm flight ey? I also enjoy working thermals, so summer gets my 10/10 vote.

Later,
David Daniel

Even though I don't fly (yet  ) it is really sad to see the demise of GA in KZN. I often see trikes going up and down the coast when I am down there on holidays. I was at Zimbali on Friday and noticed a few trikes flying past (it looked like they were flying sideways as the wind on the ground was pretty strong  ) and I wondered if is was FF and Lamercyfly :?:
