Fly music

Postby Big-D » Wed Feb 14, 2007 10:32 am

I was having a discussion with Big G last night about those wonderfull serene moments in flying where the weather is calm, engine purring and scenery breathtaking and the music playing – Nothing beats it – Almost Zen-like

My wonderfull wife bought me a Ipod for Christmas and I too now enjoy listening to some tunes in the sky.

One strange thing that has happened since me flying with the Ipod is I can’t always hear Darkhelmet properly on 123.45mhz but it don’t matter, he talks kak anyhow – “P….ines” (Turns out later it was “Watch out for powerlines or something!!)

My question is, what is your favourite fly-music?

Me…

- Mark Knopfler (The Brother’s in arms guitar solo and crossing the Magalies are a fine combination)
- U2
- Creedance Clearwater Revival
- Hillsong
- Limpkin Park – For those turbulent days, really works!

Favourite song in the air and don’t ask me why “Sweet home Alabama!!” The combination of acoustic guitar and bass in the beginning I think

Depeche Mode - John the Revelator
Erasure - all their songs
Hazel Dean -
and any alternative 80's music.

Looking at the selection of songs here it seems we are either
1) all the same age
or
2) like the same type of music :!:

Tailspins selection is just as I would have done it, same with Big D

The 80`s rocks ^*^^ !!!! 8) (**)

I suppose there is those amongs us who will say that the 80`s is "new age" but ag ja I suppose a "quick" look at the 50`s (when they were in their late 30`s) will also do (carefull not to fall asleep!!) :!: and Im not even mentioning the "Duck"  might turn out to be "cold duck"
