Odd coulor spark plugs 503sc.

Postby nickjaxe » Mon Feb 12, 2007 12:19 am

Hi guys changing the plugs today on my 503 single carb twin cdi engine
so 4 plugs, they have done 25 hours and the book say change em pity
they still look brand new, now I know 2 strokes run twice as fast so
in car terms they have done 50 hours I suppose but still dont seem
much, anyway the question for some reason the plugs at the mag end are a much
lighter colour than the prop end plugs which are a nice mid brown
colour, the other ones the centre insulator looks very light brown maybe light tan to me
telling me its on the weak side in that pot, but why should both pots
have different plug colours on a single carb engine, with 240 hrs on it, just checked the compressions both 105psi hot.

Nick In the UK.

P.S. its a pusher on a trike.
What a nice feeling it is being part of such a nice group of people, {Microlighters}
