Trimmer

Postby Pumba » Sun Feb 04, 2007 5:26 pm

Nick

I had some discussions with Ian about the trimmer he had on his trike before his tragic accident in December last year.

The original owner of this Gemini fitted it using a commercial linear actuator. He mentioned that they had this mod approved by the manufacturer in the UK.

I still have the e-mail exchange between the 2 of us, and as far as I can recall, it has contact details that you can follow up on. I'll see if I can get this sent to you. If it does not get to you, please send me an e-mail, and I'll attach it in my response to you.

One company that has an electric trimmer available is Aeros in the Ukraine. It looks like a fairly straight forward matter to get this fitted to just about any wing. Look at the Profi wing on their website.

Yip, but the Flash 2 Alpha wing needs a bit of a modification - My Gemini is with the SA wing wizard Jenya Zozulya right now to have the electric trimmer fitted mentioned above - Jenya phoned me on Friday to say that he will have to do a slight mod for it to work on the Gem.

Once installed the speed range will be 40mph - 75mph hands off on a Gemini

As far as I know it should be straight forward on most other wings with no mod neccesary

You can send me a PM and I will put you in touch with Jenya if you like, Nick
