Pioneer DualStar

Hi all

I`m new to this forum, I have enjoyed reading all the various topics.
I`m busy rebuilding a 1983 Pioneer DualStar, I would like to know if there are any of the above mentioned microlight/s in the country.

A Flightstar with two seats. Really cute aerie. I have all the tubing needed to build a Flightstar.... :D

Hi again all

Here is a pic of my uncompleted DualStar, Hence now a new 503 with E box and Warp Drive prop fitted.
Has anyone flown a DualStar in this configuration ?

I would suggest using the 582 instead. The 503 will be a little low down on power, 2-up. Do you perhaps have a plan set for this aerie? :D

Doesn't that depend on where you fly from? Morph seemed happy with his BP 503?

How's weight compare to the Challenger?

Sorry for the late reply, unfortunately I only have the assembly manual for the DualStar.
Would you know of any hangerage available for my airrie in the JHB area, close to Ruimsig ?

Yes my Challenger, and most we have down here at the coast fly happily 2-up with a little 503. But the plane is very sleek compared to the Flightstar and I do agree with Boet, if you are going to be flying a lot 2-up or you are at altitude then a 582 would be better

There is a Dual star as you call it, flying regularly at Morning Star. We have 2 older guys who always fly together. It is 582 powered and the guys love the machine.
