'Escape By Microlight' on Travel Channel - RECORDED

Postby gertcoetzee » Wed Jan 10, 2007 1:27 pm

(I see I was beat to this post by one minute!)

20:00 Adventure Challenge

Duration: 01:00

'Escape By Microlight'. Brian Milton was the first to microlight around the world. Now he is attempting what many believe is a tougher challenge as he sets out to fly across the Atlantic, carrying just 35 hours of fuel.

I've read the book by Brian Milton about this saga, and unfortunately the book (as with his other book) dwells more on his inability to get along with others, than about flying. Let's hope the program is about flying. Not that he did....but I don't want to spoil it for you...

Sounds interesting, is there a kind soul who is ready, willing & able to record this programme when it is shown next time round - poor wannabe flying scribes with 3 dogs & 1 cat don't run to DSTV :-(-(

Hey guys, I watched this "adventure" on travel channel. I would not waste my time and money to burn it onto DVD and send it to somebody I like! ( Personal Enemies, Circus Clowns, Court Jesters, Ex Vlakplaas ops, CIA Spies, Prospective Suicidees and Cheap Plumbers are welcome to a copy)

For those who didnt watch it, the Canadian authorities nailed him $3,000 dollars for flying with an overweight aerie (and other misdemeanours). He had so much fuel on board even a 100hp unit wouldnt get him airborne, when he landed (ran out of runway) the suspension collapsed "properly".

Not worth watching.

Rather buy coast to coast as its brilliant..
