I am still of the opinion that one could power a microlight on these

engines.Think in the line of a teenie or kr2 fitted with two 20 lbs jetcats

under aech wing.If the kri-kri can fly on two, surely a kr2 can fly on four,

or for that matter, two jetcats with afterburners?

SO instead of cutting the grass with our props we'd light the firebreaks? Actually I've got a clip of a mosquito fitted with a jet engine - looks cool

I would say you can power certain microlights with this type of motor, i think your biggest problem would be the weight and balance. Also the VNE. OOps lets not forget explaining to the CAA how a jet powered aircraft can be registered under the microlight catagory EISH :?: :?:

How do you stop the heat burning the fabric on a 3 axis, :?: unless mounting on the tail  I would love to see people faces when a trike flies by with a jet engine  8)

Id stick to blik like teenie, but in the clip one guy is holding his hand behind it, directly in line with the backblast and it doesn't look like he burned, so vertically upwards it should be cooler, especially taking into consideration the overflow of air being dragged over the motor as a result of the venturi action. Now if you mount the motor on a pantograph, where up and down movement of the wing is repeated by the motor, not only will the wing be out of harms way, but you will also have more efficient maneuverabillity, because thrust will always be directed towards the direction of steer in the same way as the directional nozzle in use on the new generetion american jetfighters.

To answer tailspin's question, you don't register as microlight, but as experimental.
