Hi Dre'man,

were you in the circuit at Rhino around seven this morning?

We came across from Bapsfontein this morning in EINa, and did a touch and go at Rhino.

Suggest wait for that clear still pristine day before you take the missus up.

Otherwise you're labelled as "extreme sport" and many excuses will be ready for the 'quick flippie' offer.

Hi Dreamer
I also live in Blairgowire and fly from Petit - hellava frustrating waking up at 4:30 driving for 50 mins only to stand there and swear at the wind sock!!
You can only tie the record for flying low.

Hey AV8, yea I drove almost 400km to airfield and back (2trips) yesterday but at least got to fly. Going to see how the "rock" looks today and hopefully get an hour or 2 in this afternoon as well. Off top PE for 12 days soon, so got to fly while I can.

We have a rule at my airfield, we tie the sock to the pole - stops the people looking at it and getting stressed.

 Sounds like a plan to me.no stress about the flag, just take off.then if airspeed and ground speed differ by more than say 40 - 50miles you know its too windy........assuming you are still overhead your field you land, alternatively you land on whatever field you happen to be passing at the time.
