We have pretty strict rules about flying flips from our Airfield. Low flying, steep stalls, high climb-out after take-off, tight formation (except in dead calm for a few seconds to take a photo)
But occasionally the guys get carried away. I normally through my toys out the cot when I see anything I perceive as reckless, but as I am mostly at the airfield, and the flying is mostly at the coast, I don't see too much.
One of our instructors got caught out good and proper though. We received an e-mail with attached photos. Thanking us soooo much for the great flight. Low level was great.
Notice the altimeter if you can. It reads - 100' !!!. So not only on the wrong QNH, but flying bloody low as well.
Needless to say, disciplinary action followed, but it was absolutely hilarious to see his face when presented by the evidence :D :D

One of our social pilots popped over a fisherman's line just in time to see the sinker from the next one heading his way. He said it grew big in slow motion before it hit his goggles and cut his face.krusty wrote:l...popping up to go over a fisherman's line.![]()
When he landed Zwelake (our plane pusher, re-fueler and general flying expert) noticed that the prop had a whole roll of fishing line on wrapped around the hub

Now that is a story about "the big one which got away" that no-one will ever believe

Is the handy andy working? How long is the sentence?
FF you need these rules, you are running a training school. It would be impossible to get the guys at our airfield to agree to abide by these at Morning Star.FF wrote: We have pretty strict rules about flying flips from our Airfield. Guys
I had a meeting the other night about Next years EAA airshow - and i was offered to give any help for some formation flying that could take place and the safety office for the airshow is very willing to give any sort of help he can. I will post his details as soon as i remember what i have done with his B/Card and the rest of the stuff i got.
