Is there a difference between the Garmin GPS III Plus and the GPS III Pilot or is it the same thing with diff software? Or just the same?

Garmin 3 Pilot

Postby ZULU1 » Sun Dec 03, 2006 12:04 pm

No Sir

Totally different pieces of kit, the 3 Pilot has the Jeppeson data base on it inclucing CTRs TMAs runway headings, runway details, glideslopes and so much more. wonderful GPS, i flew with one from 1997 when they were first released.
The GPS 3 plus looks identical and is land based.

They (3 pilt) are a great product easy to use and a shame no longer sold new.

Ciao Paul
