Don't wanna hijack your thread, but also wanna ask performance Q on 912 S, (hopefully the Eend can come to the rescue). :P

912's redline @ 5800rpm. Cruise @ 4800-5000. My 912S is fitted with a Warp drive 3 blade prop, cruises @ indicated 95mph @ 4300 rpm. However on full power for take off and climb she only gets to 5200 rpm indicated on the dial :? :?:

Can this max rpm be because of the pitch of the prop set for cruising or is it more likely an error on the rpm indicator?

No rescue necessary. Demon's nailed it for you. :D
Airspeed, altitude, or brains....you always need at least two

Thanx guys, makes sense and gives piece of mind knowing things are "all-right".

I'll leave the pitch as is, prefer the higher cruise above the more potent climb rate. Besides, she takes off in 100m and climbs like mad exceding my expectations :P
