DH - The kid before Christmas

Postby DarkHelmet » Mon Oct 02, 2006 6:50 pm

The last and almost most important part of my video capture gear is arriving tomorrow.

Two Bullet cameras with 520 TV Lines resolution. I am planning to mount one below the wingtip and the other facing backward from behind the swan hook on the front below the wing.

The Portable Video Recorder arrived 2 weeks ago:
http://www.archos.com/products/video/av ... al&lang=en

Pity it has a "base station", the input cable was not supplied in the box to record direct from analogue source. But that is on back order. I will use a 5V step down transformer in the meantime to power it. But once the AV cable arrives I can plug the splitter in directly and record to hard disk on battery for up to 12 hours.

Next step is to build suitable mounting brackets for PVR, splitter and cameras!

The splitter can take 4 analogue sources and as you can see in the pic it is minute! Even comes with a remote! I am planning to mount my current Camcorder on the trapeze bar like Rudi does and then still have 2 available inputs to plug more cams in.

ForensicFlyer has also organised me some generic plugs to power all this lot from a deep cycle sealed battery (similar to those you find in UPS' - of which I have 4 that I constantly keep on charge ;) - Land change battery and off we go again!!!)

Thanks in advance for hooking me up with all the gear ForensicFlyer!!!

Goeters...

Postby ForensicFlyer » Mon Oct 02, 2006 8:48 pm

Yes!

I sent DH's goeters off to him today!

Considering the quality of the cameras and quad, and the recording solution he's got, I expect some rather fancy video footage to be available soon!

I also have 4 camera's, a quad, a 12-hour VCR recorder, DVR and a 7" screen in my mobile lab... The stuff really rocks!

We'll see what the man does when the goeters are fitted...

I expect you all to get quite an eye-full!

Enjoy brother! As soon as I have my aerie, we'll fly together and film a lot more...

Have fun!

Stan.

Best is I do not need a screen coz my PVR has the final shot on it already!

Screens

Postby ForensicFlyer » Mon Oct 02, 2006 9:56 pm

Yup...

Mine too..

But the VCR solution doesn't.

I use the DVR for surveillance and personal recording (playing paintball comp's)...

Another passion of mine...

Have a good time with your stuff mate...

Now go have a cup of lovely hot chocolate...

Have the missus take a leisurely hot bath...

Let her get into her sexiest lingerie...

Put the silk sheets on the bed...

Light some candles....

Some baby powder to make the sheets extra special...

Have her lie down on her back, relax and put on sof music...

Then have her call me...

We can entertain you so the time goes by quicker till you get your stuff!

HEEEHEEEE!

Good one, huh?

Wife calling

Postby ForensicFlyer » Tue Oct 03, 2006 12:22 pm

Yah!

I had to change my number!

After that post EVERYONE's wives have been calling, since all their hubbies are all "pie in the sky..."

Poor ladies couldn't BELIEVE someone had a bit of a romantic side, so they had to check for themselves...

BWAHAHA!
