Showing off - Again!

Postby Fairy Flycatcher » Thu Sep 28, 2006 4:20 pm

The last couple of days we have had great weather again, flying all day and sharing the experience with many.

I flew with an airline pilot who has never been in a trike, and said its the closest thing to real flying you can get. 8)

We flew with South African, Dutch, Australian and Scotish toursist. Each one cherrish their flight in a microlight as a South African high-light. :)

Just though I would share some photos with you. These were taken today at about 12:30. Where were you then? ^

The surf was quite big, and we tried to take a photo of the trike in a turn over the water. Digital cameras have a terrible delay though, but thought this has something artistic to it in any case.

Thanks Annie,

Lovely post as usual. At 12h30 was working to earn money so that I can fly this weekend. You seem to have organised it a bit better than most.

By the way, the date in the 3rd photo is 26 June 2004   but still a lovely photo.

What progress with the DVD of La Mercy?

Trust you to see that. The photo was taken by my Dutch tourist on his camera. They are out here for their honey-moon, and brought two new cameras for the trip to take lots of photos of each other  They did not seem to be too fazed abou the date, but it was taken today.

About the DVD..We have borrowed a high quality video camera and will start filming next week. But who knows... at this rate we will still be here when my kids start move from the back seat of the trike, to the front seat, and then back to the back-seat again :D

FF, thanks again for the post. Yours are always bright and cheery. Brings a bit of flying into this Dudes office during the week. But, I am envious ….

Thanks for taking care of the DVD – I look forward to my copy.

Its really HOT in Durbs today and I look forward to getting in the sky again just now. We have another 3 hours of flying to get through before the end of the day

On days like these though, I would choose an ice cold beer at lunch anytime.

Had some great flying today. Flew with a student at 11:00 in about 60deg cross, thermic conditions and she was handling beautifully :D :D We were doing precision primary control excercises, and you need a bit of turbulence for that. Flying 1m off the runway for its entire lenght without drifting, climbing or touching down. Great excercise in precision flying.
