Microlighters JOL !!

Postby Chaz » Wed Sep 13, 2006 3:07 am

Morning Folks !!

Just had a brainwave  again. Spoke about it awhile ago about organising a "fat" jol for all microlighters at Monsoon Lagoon we all drive there one evening. Dont have to fly there or worry about weather. Just need a convenient "DATE" for everybody and entry would be yer wings.

Lovely Venue situated at Ceasars for those who dont know and rated as number one club in SA. The music is excellent and the dancers even better. Maybe we hire the entire top floor which is all the private booths and have snacks put out for us. Maybe make it a once a year get together for all the Gautenger MPL's.

Anyway as i said just a suggesstion and it is late so you's may think a Kaaak one at that. :D :D :D :D

Hey there Chaz,

Great idea! If you would take on the organisation of something like this then I am sure MISASA would be able to find some cash and whatnot to assist you. Mostly these type of things should be self funding and we would supply banners, T-Shirts, badges.

The idea is that someone should take the lead and state a date for the event, and guide new pilots through whatever needs to be done to make it happen; or even 'old' pilots who have not been there before.

In this case it is simply a case of advertising the date and persuading people to pitch up...

So go for it!

Gee thanx KB thawt somebody would recognise a great mind :D :D :D

Oddball i see yer the MISASA PRO we should maybe talk then. Just a plain ol microlighters get together and i thawt Ceasars now Emperors Palace is centrally situated for most Gautengers. I will get onto it as when i mad the suggestion in the past there was some interest expressed but it was just getting a convenient date to suit everybody !!

Venue !!

Postby Chaz » Thu Sep 14, 2006 12:56 pm

I agree VNE. :D :D :D

Agent Hi-Flyers could be an alternative venue and it is a "AVIATION" pub in all sense of the word. For those who dont know, the 747 cockpit installed in Hi-Flyers makes it the only pub in the world with an original fully functional 747 cockpit.

Yeah i agree "smiley" we need to socialise to the extreme. I still got a score to settle with the demon and i cant do it if he still has to fly :D :D :D

Cornell i will contact the owners of Hi_Flyers and see what they can do to accomadate us with an amicable date :!: :!:
