Misasa

Postby LarryMcG » Thu Sep 07, 2006 4:58 pm

I support Misasa hole heartedly, and think that EVERYBODY who flies microlights should support them. WE MUST speak with one voice!

How many people bothered to attend, or submit apologies for not attending the Dam Buster Derby??? This was suposed to be central, so that NOBODY had an excuse not to attend!

So I would like to know from MISASA how much of my MISASA membership fees have been spent on promoting microlighting, organising competitions and other events, etc. IN THE WESTERN CAPE.

Enjoying your new flying suit dear emperor?

Once upon a time there lived a vain Emperor whose only worry in life was to dress in elegant clothes. He changed clothes almost every hour and loved to show them off to his people.

Word of the Emperor's refined habits spread over his kingdom and beyond. Two scoundrels who had heard of the Emperor's vanity decided to take advantage of it.

Ah, I get it. I am the emperor. Well I can live with it. But calling those MISASA guys scoundrels!

And the answer to my question?

Persistent B*&%^ hey !

An undisclosed amount has been gievn WCMC for the competition, and in the newest SA tradition, have applied to MISASA for a Flyhalf coaching position at a paltry .005mil per month

Oh and I heard A.E.N has been spotted lurking around Morningstar again harrassing those fine young damsels we hired to escourt our out of town guests and MISASA officials to our Finest club facility at all hours of the day or night

Not according to my sources.

And the answer to my question, which was "So I would like to know from MISASA how much of my MISASA membership fees have been spent on promoting microlighting, organising competitions and other events, etc. IN THE WESTERN CAPE" is?

The parts of the cake I would like to have a bite of as a Western Cape member are:

Competitions R 20,000.00
Events R 80,000.00
Training R 10,000.00
Development R 10,000.00
AGM R 10,000.00

Which is why I am asking.

Without fear of contradiction I can state, categorically, that 100% of my membership fees have been spent in the Western Cape.

Jeez, I must have missed the competitions (I know I know, soon), events, training & development in the WC which you had 100% benefit of.

For the record, Mr Robert Gassmann objects to being one of the scoundrels in Hans Christiaan Andersens fable. In that case I object to being the Emperor. Explain yourself Griffin.

And still waiting for that answer...

Dear Emperor. You choose to be a member for the perceived value you attain. I choose not to for the same reason.

Beware of people claiming to be able to offer a better service than MISASA !!! In the end there will be a catch and you will feel it in your pocket.

I agree that we have a really competent core steering MISASA at present and I feel that we should give them our full support. It is not easy to please all of the people all of the time. Our sport is going through, and has been from some time, a difficult and changing time and we need to have some patience.

Dam(n) Busters

Postby LarryMcG » Mon Sep 11, 2006 12:51 pm

Dam busters was advertised on this forum -see events - and I wondeered at the time why there was so little input from ALL the regular members on this forum? I presumed it was a boycott, or everybody just didnt care. It was well publicised to all misasa members in the magazine as well.

No answer about NUmbi, but havnt seen much about it.

What about Nationals in Ladysmith, anyone going to those - another Misasa event?

Apart from a bizarre call from Mr R Gassman, the response from MISASA re my question is DEAFENING.

How much did MISASA spend in the past year on WESTERN CAPE activities? How does this compare to other areas?
