Re: Waar is al die ou manne.
Like it or not I'm back.
The bear has been poked.
I'm going for flight medical next week and if that goes well I will do the necessary to renew my license. After that I will be in the market for an Aquila with a bluetop and will start doing flyaways again. Company owes me lots of leave so would like to use it and start touring the country again on a trike.
I pulled out my logbook on the weekend and read the little cryptic comments I would put to remember certain trips and it brought back many happy memories. I also managed to find the journal that I kept and updated after different trips and this has ignited the passion again. Found a couple of photo albums as well with pics from yesteryear and the trips I used to do on my single ignition Windlass with skinny wheels and no shocks and can't believe the places I used to land with her.

Thanks Guys

Also still around. Started trike flying in 1995, and still long those early Kalahari bundu basbes where memories were made. Still has a trike at Microland, but admittedly only fly on the occasional Sunday afternoon. I do stalk the forum from time to time though.

Re: Waar is al die ou manne.
I also give Microlighters a look every now and then. Really enjoyed the grass roots aspect of my flying trikes many years ago. Had a trike at Microland some time ago. Got into gyroplanes after that, so I tend to watch the Gyro Talk threads mostly, although it’s very quiet these days, almost dead. Qute sad.
These days I fly my Magni M24 gyro out of Stellenbosch airfield. If I’m not flying that, then I fly left seat of an Airbus 320 on the domestic, which is a great priviledge too.
