Re: Africa Cup 2016
Hi Brettie,
I unfortunately will not be attending the Africa Cup this year as I am stuck in Switzerland until Saturday 24 September 2016 for work. Have to inspect, release and test fly a Falcon 7X aircraft for the company here. Sorry Sir. Next time. Was looking forward to it.

Weather does not look good for Numbi.

Going there not a problem, coming back Sunday with low clouds...

Still early. Keeps changing. We often have these bad weather reports, only to wake up and find it's ok.

Re: Africa Cup 2016
I have not flown over The Berg before, is it too dangerous/turbulent flying say 1500 agl along the N4 from Nelspruit side?
Re: Africa Cup 2016
It's dangerous if you fly too close to the mountains and if there is a strong westerly wind blowing. That creates rotor on the downwind side of the mountain which could be dangerous. The higher you go over the mountain the less rotor you'll experience. I would cross the mountains at 9500 ft. The mountains can be intimidating the first time you fly over them. Just keep clear of areas where you would expect turbulence. It really is a beautiful flight over that escarpment.
