Postby Ian » Sat Aug 19, 2006 4:10 pm

Yep, a real nice fly in.

No problems at all for Microlights, Tailspin did a great job to park us, many thanks Gavin, much appreciated !

Paul Lastrucci made a point of welcoming each of us at our aeries at shut down, first time the chairman of a club has welcomed me as I shut down ... Thanks Paul.

We arrived just too late for the free breakkies, but the Crosswind trike guys reported it to be great :D

Sonex, Thunderboy and I flew in, Sonex's main man Mathew was there to gain some experience... 8)

Then we saw Slick Willy, the EAA Committee's PRO man having Breakkies with the twinkle in his eye Dayna ! (better teach her about pilots fast Shawney ...) :D

First fly in for Thunderboy, he's a natural... Only one problem though, The Agent took quite a while to convince him aeries dont start by pushing them... :?

Stopped in just after 13:00 for a while, met up with Agent, Guy Leitch, Athol (not the AP one !!) and Leo Theron. Couple of beers, a great steak roll and enjoyed the stunning weather we had.

I then went down to see Trevor and Gareth Davies at Crosswinds to finalise a bit of paperwork - I've got hangarage there now so WRG will soon move there from Klipriver, it will be half the distance to go flying in future.. =D*

Yes Demon

Your old bird, a Dude from Flo's place and 3 from crosswinds. So there were no problems at all with them in the circuit, even had one in the circuit while a twin was on approach aswell

Yep, was a great fly-in. Loved watching the hop, skip and jump sportlanding efforts. Highly entertaining and also some BRILIANT landings.
