Good on you lovely office there and something to be proud of.
My deck is the one at home and also office but will get a nice shot this weekend.

Here is mine, altitude and airspeed big in the middle, revs and EGT small at the top. Analog feul gauge to be replaced by MGL digtal.

Couple for interest sake. KR is too fast for 3 axis and RV too heavy and fast, so tehnically no pics of ML front office till Cubby back in commission....

No, not mandatory.

Serious focus is required by a student during cross country flights with no compass or GPS – just the sun and a chart on your thigh.
