MPL and GPL for remuneration

Postby t-bird » Wed Aug 16, 2006 4:15 pm

I was approached by a game lodge to do some flying for clients in a T-bird and Gyro.
What would the correct and legal way be to do this for remuneration?
There is no comm licences for micro’s and gyro’s.
Do I need an operator’s licences?
Would an operator’s licence be area specific – restricted to a certain runway?
Do I need to change the aircraft’s authority to fly?
I am prepared to go through all the red tape, but I need some guidance as where to start.

There are ways and there are ways. That is the type of question you answer in a PM. Good advice from duck. Or pm me with your number and I will call you.

Part 62 is only in draft from and has been for more than a year.

I don’t see Part 62 implemented within another year.

So does this mean that until Part 62 is implemented you are not allowed to fly passengers for remuneration?

How are going to grow the sport without positive exposure?

And without set rules that are going to ensure that the relevant operators are flying within the rules. Aren’t we heading for a disaster?

I would love to open the star news paper and read about an unbelievable flying experience in a Trike or microlight with some Arial photographs of Harties.

More than likely you will hear about a paying pax getting injured and sueing... followed by a public outcry fueled by the press.

Sorry haven't read Part 26... does it call for a special rating to take up paying pax?
