Fixed wing training

Postby TanyaK » Tue Aug 15, 2006 6:17 am

Hi !

I have just returned from Australia after working there for a while, now that I am back I want to fullfill a dream that I have had for a long time, I want to learn to fly !

I would prefer training on fixed wing aircraft, is there a school or instructor that can help in the Pretoria area ? I would like to start as soon as possible.

I guess the closest would be Rhino Park - i am sure leprchaun or the agent will give you some pointers :?:
Hi Demon,

Thanks ! Glad I found this forum, looks interesting, I am learning a lot by just spending some time here. I have only been back in the country for 2 weeks and it is great ! There are no people like South Africans anywhere in the world.

Thanks for the info, lets see if one of the gents (?:-) ) you mention have more info.

Hi Tanya,

Welcome to the forum (and South Africa) !

You can also try Andy Kasperson @ Petit, not to far depending where in Pretoria you are, let me know if you need a number !

Good luck with the training !
Regards,
Rudi

PS, see in your profile you are into diving, you are not maybe the same Tanya K(rouze) (sp?) who had a diving accident in Feb 2000 on the Great Barrier Reef in Aussie ? Just wondering.......

Hi Rudi,

Thanks ! And thanks for the info, I do have a contact number for someone at Rhino, if I do not come right I will let you know.

Ok, now this is WEIRD ! Yes, I did have a diving accident on the reef in 2000, AND, I was rescued by a guy, with the name Rudi, on a 54 feet steel yacht (with an all girl crew as well  ) Don't tell me that was you ? If it is it is a small world !!!

So, was it you ?????????

COOL !!!! WOW, what can I say ? Yes, I am still diving. I am also still having a problem with my ears but going for an op again soon, hopefully that will sort it out.

Will PM you with my mail address (you might still have it, still the same as always), time we have a shooter or two like in the old times

Tanya

PS, for the other forumers reading this, without making Rudi blush I just want to say that this guy rescued me, someone he did not know, and risked his own life in a big way while doing it. If it was not for him I would not be here

Hi Dreamer,

Well, you will have to ask him the gory details  All I can say is imagine this, one guy, four girls, a great yacht, sailing round the world, spending lazy days diving, swimming, eating.... :D :D :D

Ask me when you see me next time Demon but for the full story, uncensored, you will have to do it when the Softness is not around

AMAAAAAZING!

One guy, four girls, a yacht around the world, and out of the sea pops yet one more woman.
Things like that will NEVER happen to me.......

On a more serious note though. Tanya, i would like to hear your whole accident story. Please take some time and put it on the forum. If not here, pm it to me.

What a small world...same girl, same guy, same forum, same big blue sea, same reef.....truely amazing.
