Was a little more but landed in one piece.

Cheers

:D I was standing next to him when he quoted the 8 knots :D He had a huge smile ! I landed shortly before that, the diff between the ASI and the GPS was more like 20 knots at 500'

Just "for practice" we did 8 landings in that ! Well, practice makes perfect as they say.

BTW, D, your landing was great !

Happy flying,
Rudi

Alrighty then. I am impressed.

Thanks Rudi - Nothing a new pair of jocks can't fix hey :D

On a serious note - Yip, you need to be able to land in the heavy stuff too because you never know when you will get caught in it, no matter how cautious you are- Hence the fact that I admire your 8 practice landings. I was struggling too much just to keep the trike from blowing over on the ground. I see you fly 3 axis - so you don't have that problem

Happy landings

Cheers

It was easy with the master next to me (Andy) But, it does get rather busy on final  The final (03) with the turbulance coming off the trees was quite "interesting" :-) Ended up using just 1 notch of flaps not the normal 2.

Yes, I was thinking that it must be quite difficult to fight the wing/wind once you are on the ground in a trike in that wind !

Safe flying,
Rudi

Sorry I missed it, but have to get my priorities right.....

Was not my choice ! the boss said lets fly so fly we did. But, I am glad I did, next time high winds will be less scary !
