Microlighters HACKED !

Postby Rudix » Fri Aug 11, 2006 8:08 am

Someone hacked the index.php file on the server ! Not cool

You can still access the forums with :

viewforum.php?f=1

where the f=1 represents the relative forum.

I wonder if it is a micro$oft server :D

Hope it is sorted out soon,

Regards,
Rudi

Hi Morph !

Thanks for your hard work ! Lets hope they don't try again..... I see as many as 20 attempts from different IP's on my servers a day

Thanks Morph - you're Da Boss,

Ja, get plenty junk on email too.

Don't you just love the ones re: "Got US$120,000,000 to invest and looking for ...." blah blah

Or just how many spellings of 'VIFRGRA' are there to get through the spammers. Gee, and cheap Rolex watches, "easy" blind dates etc., etc.

I received this message from our hosts

We have now started a daily instead of a weekly backup as well as we have set up programmes to monitor for any unauthorised page changes, which will allow for rectification at the earliest possible time, should any such defacement occur again.

Ja, Remember I asked last time when we lost data if a hacker was playing with us...Looks like they were, since they struct again.

Morph, do you know how they got access this time? Via which username and or password? Change them, check out the users that got admin rights. Verify that those are valid and the passwords are changed to something not easily guessable.

Bastards! but it could have been worse!
