Bring & Braai every 3rd Sat of Month Microland

Thanks to all who could attend the reunion at the 3rd Saturday of the month braai at Microland. Especially to those that flew in from Ingwe and others that brought projectors, memory sticks, DVD's, food and fire making stuff. We had three projectors going continuously for the whole morning, with people making copies in the background. Unfortunately for some the conversation was dominated with reminissing about the trip.....sorry to those that could not join in. There was even talk about an anual repeat.

And to Fanie L, congrats on finally getting your Cheetah up here and you first conversion lesson. Just don't forget about us and your GT & Aquila. Pitty the weather was do kak on Saturday.

Mervyn wants to do a Barberton fly away this winter before the Africa Cup. He will let us know what dates are available.

The Barberton fly away is on for the 10th July. Very popular as there is only limited camping left.

We will bring the fritters and mielie koekies, Nick- charcoal & fire lighters, Gerbrie - green salad, Fiona - potato/pasta salad, and Alan?...garlic chilly rolls.

Ok guys, the 21st of November has been confirmed as our end-of-year Christmas theme braai. Mervyn has gracefully accepted to be Father Christmas. We are also trying to arrange for a helicopter to bring Father Christmas.

As there were no funds raised this year, there will have to be a financial donation, which will go towards the entertainment (jumping castle or a water walker) and other extras. Please bring a present for your child, not too big or heavy and limited to a max price of R 200 per child. They must be wrapped and clearly marked with your child's name and delivered the day before. You can either deliver to Microland, Mervyn Rynolds, or to me or to someone else who can take it out to the airfield before the 21st. If you could also bring, on the day, some Christmas crackers and please wear festive clothes. We will supply Christmas hats and our gazebo. If you have a smallish Christmas tree or two, please bring them. Extra fold up chairs may also be a good idea.

Please let me know if you are coming and how many children we can expect. We really want this to be a fun thing for the whole family. Bring your kids...grand kids and grown up kids.

Like last year, we also want to give Johannes a Christmas food hamper or two. If you feel you want to give something then please bring it on the day.

I have created a WhatsApp group where the latest information is shared. If you are joining us, and you are not on the group, contact me @, zero ate 1, for too 7, double ate, too sex.

So far there are over 70 adults and more than 21 children attending. 55 raffle tickets have been sold. Items on raffle are, GPS 12XL, Motorola twin cordless phone, Pioneer plastics cooler box and 25L fuel can, Jeep cooler bag, bottle of Johnny Walker black and a cell phone recharge battery bank. The draw will take place on the 21st November at Microland. A rocket castle and a jumping castle has been booked and a helicopter will be Father Christmas' (Mervyn) transport for the day, arriving at noon.

Those flying to Potties this weekend, have a gas and fly safe.

Fantastic event, and getting better and better every year. Thanks to all for their contributions, financially and otherwise. You guys and girls are simply the best. Tailwinds are the best.

There was suppose to be a surprise visit by the Police Pilatus, but unfortunately, at the last moment, it had other duties to attend to....thanks so much Mervyn for all your effort to try and arrange that as well as the Helicopter. Thanks to Hugo for making his Alouette available to transport Father Christmas.
