I trust you are all well
I am going to Hijack my own post to firstly set something straight that I did wrong and then secondly I will prove a point. In all fairness, understand that the point is not to be vengeful or vindictive but just to prove a friendly point. I stand to get some criticism and will possibly be sad to receive it but I will sacrifice a few hours of happiness to achieve a fair goal.
So here I go.
I do respect the effort of active aviation individuals with the cognitive and physical ability to improve the Sport we so love. Improvement can only happen with these spirited actions. The acts I am referring to is creating Forums, presenting Classes, having fly ins and such. These efforts are mostly for the love of Aviation. One must understand that these efforts take a lot of energy and We should all think twice on stating negatives. Negatives has only the same result and lead to less and less "aviation".
Let me set things strait and stop jabaring
I wanted to advertise my personal items on Avcom but was denied the privilege due to the fact that I am part of the Industry. I tried to post a few times and was denied. I was a little frustrated and started asking why this is happening. I received the answer as stated above. So I got very upset as the items I posted is my personal Items and has nothing to do with the company I work for. Then I did the wrong thing, I was triggered by a PM from Microlighters that tipped me over the edge, I vented on this forum.
The day after I vented, I took the time to find out why I was discriminated against, so I contacted the senior at AVCOM. The fact of the matter is that a solution had to be found for unscrupulous vendors / business owners that posted items by the thousands causing terrible congestion and unpleasantness on the Forum.
The only thing to do is ban the lot. Now unfortunately that included me. an innocent party that sells an item or two in my personal capacity maybe three times a year. I don't even think I posted on AVCOM last year.
Having stated my case I want to extend an apology for my anger towards a good Forum. You took the time to explain your situation and is still willing to change the policy should a workable solution be presented.
I am sad to say that it does not feel to good being a victim of discrimination due to external factors.
But I will survive
