I went away and asked some questions...I will reduce the price to R300k. The 15 year overhaul not done. Although the engine runs like a dream, low fuel consumption, uses no oil, compression tests done on cylinders. Engine hours 698.

Probably closer to Rheenendal than Knysna. Very visitor friendly, 600m grass runway, 13/31. Some nice aircraft and nice people there.

When was it last flown?

Also, does the transponder have an encoder?

I haven't been on Microlighters for months. Only saw your message now.
Yes it does fit in LSA
Last flew it 2 weekends ago, 24/10/2015
Transponder does have an encoder.

The aircraft now lives at Morningstar Airfield again.

The overhaul is not required unless the aircraft is being used for commercial operations.....( Its on Condition)Don't waste your money and open that motor it will run happily for years to come.

This could be a better buy than most aviators realise. YouTube CH701
and see for yourself. New one with 912 ULS and nice panel could set you back
more than R800k... if you are lucky. More than 40 flying in SA. (^^)
