Rhino Park Never Again

Postby Splitter » Mon Jul 31, 2006 9:08 am

Sunday me and the wife flew to Rhino for a brekkie. Waited 30minutes for our coffee and had to send it back as it had sugar in it. Waited another 15 minutes for the replacement and when it came it was ice cold. We decided not to stay for brekkie ^^.^

A month ago 24 June a crowd of us flew in to Rietfontein for brekkie. To say the least it was disgusting. ^?^ The coffee cold, the eggs oily, the bacon rock hard.

Do something guys! Or you will never see us again.

 I am so sad to see all this as it is our home base, well we will have no alternative but to make burgers and coffee avaiable at Microflight Aviation and as you folks who do visit us can see some huge hanger and our own clubhouse is almost complete and then you will stand in the Q for our service, with not to much effort we know it will be better, and less bike dust.
Splitter please watch the forum as we will notify all microlighters about the progress.
As most of you will notice the condition of the runway's have improved by 100% and more tricks coming soon for the dust abatement.

So cheer up ols chap and we look forward to see you and your softness again. :D

Funny things that I have noticed –

Hangers are not too good at Steak Houses,
Runways are inadequate at Pizza Parlours,
ATC is poor at Bakeries,
Food is not the best at Airfields [unless the Morphman lights a fire].

It is difficult to be a specialist in everything.

although as a microlighter you can't fly in and with the Wx like it is at the moment driving is a better option, a nice place is the restaurant, Wings, at Lanseria. You can sit on the balcony and watch the comings and goings - breakfast is very reasonable and the other items I have had are also very good.

Rhino Park never again

Hi Guys , I am terribly sorry to hear this , but I have to admit it is true , I have had a previous complaint about the same issue , and after complaining to the powers to be , ya guessed it nothing happened !!
Well that leaves us who use Rhino as our base one option , we make it ourselves , as the One seater Agent said , we will have to make hammies at the Micro flight aviation shop , I know they have coffee , as we at the thatched roof flight office has as well, its hot and free , let us know when you guys want to try a Microflight hammie and its done , beers not served unfortunately , - dont forget to bring them ladies as well , We have badges and other goodies on sale as well , Fly safely Leprachaun

Hi Leprechaun, nice meeting you last week at microflight. Met a lot of fellow aviators. Microflight service and coffee was excelent but brekkie still lacking(they are working on it though). Thanks to Braam and Emil who went out of there way to help.
