John -
I'm famous boet. They even send the cop vans for "begelyding" with sirens waving at me.
Ja I don't "groet" them anymore. Normaly I do a few cicuits , stop on the BIG runway, de-fuel and on my way....north.
I'm still not ready to "groet" them.
That's why there's no chiwawas in Upinton anymore.
At around May every year there's a " ongemaklikheid" with dogs barking and howling in Upington... They know FGR wil be passing through soon..

Why are you posting smileys. You said you would stay away.
BTW.I am one of those guys who love to chop up small dogs here in Blouberg.
With my prop that is. I also prune small bushes. John Boucher can attest to that.

I am one of the morons and d%%^s that flies low over this stretch of beach often. Sometimes a few times a day. It is NOT illegal. Klaar. This has been debated to death elsewhere before and Morph covered the key point on a previous page. UNLESS!
Let up, live and let live a little. It is a sport that we do for fun after all.

PS. We often help SANPARKS in the nature reserve with anti-crime and anti-poaching operations. I dont think they consider us a nuisance or a hazard, even if we venture low occasionally.
If there are people or animals on the beach I remain 500' clear of them. The odd fisherman and surfer I may come across is usually so friendly, how could we possibly be a nuisance if they're giving us friendly waves? No aircraft shall be flown at a height less than 500 feet above the ground or water, unless the flight can be made without hazard or nuisance to persons or property on the ground or water.
