Hi All,
Good weekend fly away. Sorry to those who missed out. Unfortunately there are no mid-air photos as our official photographer couldn't make it due to sickness. It was very cold Saturday morning and I was trying out my new bar mitts (arrived Friday) , which certainly helped but even so by the time we arrived at Heidelburg on the way down I had pretty much lost contact with my fingers. Paul Meanwell on the other hand arrived at Heidelburg warm as toast in his gyro with electrically heated jacket!
Thanks Paul, Alan, Nick, Jana, Maxine and especially Sharon for great weekend.
Cheers Frank

Rob....sorry to hear mate, but you made the right call. Cancelling due to marginal weather is always the right call. (^^) Your gut tells you "No"....then listen! :)

No flight or cross country is worth bending your aerie or hurting yourself. Set personal limits and stick to them, you wont be sorry. (!!)

The Tailwinds are always planning trips, there will def be another one chom. (!!)

Oh no...what a pity. I guess that means the event is postponed. Does that include Numbi? Last year Barberton also had to be postponed. ##

The WX is always the deciding factor. Fanie said to me what has kept him safe was....if you have any doubt then don't...wise words from the Meistro.

Next time Rhodie, and all affected. (^^)

Ok, now you can join us for the braai....you cant have any excuse. Looking at the WX, I don't think there be any flying but then we just braai earlier puff

See you all Saturday.

Pilots Motor Bike. Stearman engine??

No, apparently it is a Rotec R3600 engine, 150Hp, 9 cylinder, which is fitted as a replacement engine to WW 1 era aircraft like the Sopwith Camel etc.
