On all trips you learn something.
Herewith a few things we learned on this trip:

Railway lines change from AC to DC at Ermelo

Don't trust the security guard at Kosi Bay airfield
On all flying legs have a backup airfield en route with its information
There are 1200 nile crocodiles in the greater St Lucia wetland
Hluluwe airfield are manned during the day
Richards Bay Harbour has the largest coal export capacity (91million tun per year) in the world
Groutville airfield in Ballito is not the same as Ballito airfield
David of Comefly Pilot Centre can take you on a ferry flight on the Durban coastline
The first aircraft to land at King Shaka Int. was a Yak 18T doing an emergency landing before runway was complete
Durban is the busiest harbour in Afrika
You need to speak to Margate ATC when landing at Delta Golf
Margate ATC monitors 124,80
Dolphins don't surface in rough seas
You can't chase a cow from a grass runway, doesn't matter how many low passes you do
Wavecrest Lodge is a must visit place
The runway co-ordinates of Port St Johns does make sense
Wendy Botha comes from East London as does Ian and Jody Schekter
ATC's become bored and looks for distraction / entertainment
The Wild Coast of South Africa is a beautifull place
A lot of FW pilots don't know how a gyro work
The ATC at 43 Air School understand that foreign pilots don't know their network of taxiways
Hittgeheim Lodge is a must visit place
You don't see any elephants in the ADDO Elephant Park
Most helpful and hospitable people stay out in the country
A Trojan gyro pilot don't want to give you his name, doesn't matter how many times you ask
All Jabi's are white
Jabi pilots are early risers
Shumba Valley lodge is a must visit place
We don't do these kind of trips often enough
